Caribbean Style Banana Rolls With Cheese

Banana rolls with cheese filling in a Caribbean pattern

This recipe takes about half an hour to implement, and the result is a  mouth-watering dose that can be ingested as a side dish or just as is.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 liter of water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 glass of cold milk
  • 1.5 dl of flour
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 500 g of cheddar cheese cut into small cubes
  • Add salt to taste
  • Oil

Do this

  1. Heat the water in a boiler. Peel and slice the bananas. When the water boils, add the bananas and let them boil for a few minutes.
  2. Strain and crush the bananas until they become mashed. Add butter and milk to create a supple puree.
  3. Set the mixture aside.
  4. Beat eggs and a pinch of salt in another bowl.
  5. Strain the flour into a third bowl and stir in a pinch of salt.
  6. Form round balls from the banana mash with your hands. Make a hole in the middle so you can put a piece of cheese in it, and close the ball again.
  7. Dip the banana balls first into the beaten eggs and then into the flour.
  8. Heat a small amount of oil in a pan, and fry the balls until medium brown until golden brown.
  9. Serve and enjoy!

Meatballs with edam cheese

Ingredients

  • 500 g of minced meat
  • Yolk of one egg
  • 1 dl breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 crushed garlic clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika spice
  • 500 g of edam cheese diced
  • Oil (enough for frying)

Do this

  1. Put all the ingredients except the cheese in the blender. You can also mix the ingredients by hand if you get a smooth mixture this way.
  2. Make meatballs-like dumplings from the mixture using a spoon, for example.
  3. Make room in the middle of the dumplings so you can put in the cheese. Close the hole.
  4. Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the meatballs until golden brown. Reduce heat, cover pan with pan and allow to simmer for another five minutes.
  5. Serve as is or with sauce.

Banana rolls with goat cheese filling

This delicacy is perfect for many, and you can combine it with a meal of both fish and meat. With the following recipe, you will make, for example, a great dessert that is enough for six people. You can prepare them in advance and store the buns in the refrigerator before baking them.

  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 250 g of goat cheese
  • 1 dl of honey

Do this

  1. Peel and saute banana slices in butter. This will soften them slowly. Take the bananas out of the pan and mash them with a fork.
  2. Add cornstarch, honey and cinnamon. Change the mixture until you get a smooth dough.
  3. Prepare small dumplings.
  4. Make a hole in the middle of each wheel with your finger and then put in some cheese.
  5. Fry the balls in a pan in plenty of oil until they turn golden brown. Take the rollers out of the oil and place them on a paper towel so that you can get too much oil absorbed.
